Taking Steps for Cancer is a fundraising organization in partnership with Mountain Family Center to support Grand County cancer patients with their out of pocket expenses.

Mountain Family Center is a qualified 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization [Tax ID# 74-2446390] operating the Taking Steps for Cancer Fund with administrative offices located at 480 E. Agate Avenue, Suite 1C, Granby, CO 80446 . Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. The Taking Steps for Cancer Fund, operated by Mountain Family Center, exists to ease the financial burden of treatment for Grand County residents battling cancer. There is no cancer treatment available in Grand county and patients must often travel long distances, up to several times per week, for medical care. Gas, lodging, meals and other expenses can add up, and the Cancer Fund is available to help cover these expenses.
Assistance is available regardless of income or insurance status, and each client can receive up to $5,000 per year in reimbursement.

The Cancer Fund is made possible by the hard work of the volunteer group Taking Steps for Cancer (“Taking Steps”). Taking Steps organizes several annual events to create awareness and support.
